There are several ATMs (Automatic Teller Machine) on or near the campus. Two are located inside the campus. The nearest one is ICBC ATM (next to the SUNSHINE L.Better Shop); another one is CCB ATM.Other ATMs can be found around the campus. All of them are(24/7).

Cards issued by the international credit card organizations can be used by the ATMs in China. The most common ones are UnionPay, VISA and Master Card. Moreover, others like American Express and JCB are also acceptable. So, you had better take a Union Pay card or VISA card to China.

China currency can be obtained in the following denominations:

Notes: 100Yuan, 50 Yuan, 20 Yuan, 10 Yuan, 5 Yuan, 1 Yuan, 5 Jiao and 1 Jiao

Tip:For your property security, do not exchange money with illegal institutions or organizations on the street.

How to open a bank account?

Your passport is the very thing you should take to the bank when you want to open a personal bank account. More details you can get from the inquiry of manager on duty. Foreign currencies, such as Hong Kong Dollar, American Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Australian Dollar, Euro,Japanese Yen, Pound Sterling, etc, can be withdrawn and

deposited in the above banks.

Mind the banking hours!  

Usually, the banking hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday (check with individual sub-branches). Only a few open on Saturday mornings and they are all closed on Sundays and public holidays.
