Dr. Nie Song spoke on “Discovery and Verification of Protein Biomarkers Using Proteomics Quantitative Analysis” on April 12 during Jinan University’s 110th-Anniversary Technology Lecture Series.
After earning his Ph.D. from the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nie did research at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and then at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He has published over 20 papers in influential foreign academic journals and has been a reviewer for significant international journals. His research interests include biological quantitative analysis; proteomics and post-translational modification; separation and analysis of biomolecules; and discovery and verification of biomarkers. His research findings have been quoted by his international counterparts.
