2,200 Take National Entrance Examination Held at JNU

The 2016 joint entrance exam to recruit overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students was held at Jinan University’s College of Chinese Language and Culture on May 21 and 22. This was the main examination venue, with others in Xiamen, Hong Kong and Macao. Results for 2016 joint entrance exam, organizined by mainland colleges and universities, will be released in early July. Nearly 2,200 candidates took the exam at JNU, the College of Chinese Language and Culture, an increase of nearly 100 candidates over compared to last year.

During the examination, Yang Kaiqiao, director of the Education and Examinations Authority of Guangdong Province, and Zhang Ronghua, vice president of JNU, inspected the examination venue, accompanied by Mo Haibin, vice dean of the College of Chinese Language and Culture, and Ma Jie, the college’s vice party secretary. Yang recognized the preparation work done by the college for the examination and gave suggestions for the joint entrance exam.


On May 14 and 15, the joint entrance examination of Jinan University and Huaqiao University for overseas students was held in the College of Chinese Language and Culture, with 2,211 candidates taking the exam.
