Jinan University Wins Big in Entrepreneurship Competition

Projects of the Jinan University delegation, led by Vice President Rao Min and Cheng Pinxing, the secretary of the JNU Communist Youth League, won two gold, six silver and nine bronze medals in the final round of the 2016 Guangzhou College Students Entrepreneurship Competition on May 21 and 22.

The entrepreneurship competition, held at Guangdong University, was hosted by the Guangdong Provincial League Committee; the provincial departments of Education, Human Resources and Social Security, and Science and Technology; the Provincial Association for Science and Technology; the Provincial Student Association; and the Dongguan municipal government. Chi Zhixiong, secretary of the provincial Communist Youth league; He Zhen, party secretary and deputy chairman of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology and Liang Weidong, mayor of Dongguan, attended the opening ceremony.

One of the two gold-medal winners, based on the new idea of ”iLeading Scenic Guidance Technology Company,” is committed to providing guide service for all scenic spots in China, including recommending routes, entertainment functions involvedin scenic features and Location-Based Service (LBS) to give tourists a comprehensive experience.

JNU’s other gold-medal winner, ”Vector Education Technology Company,” takes advantage of business strategies, training course design, training plan sales and high-ranking training to conduct business, allowing participants to raise their ability in a short time.

Since the competition started in March, thousands of students have participated, and organizers received 1,313 entries from 102 universities and colleges in Guangdong. For the finals, 383 entries from 83 universities and colleges were chosen.
