JNU holds around-the-campus run

More than 3,000 faculty members participated in an around-the-campus run, sponsored by the Trade Union of JNU on April 28 to celebrate Jinan’s 110th anniversary and May Day. Rao Min, vice president of JNU and chairman of the trade union, addressed the opening ceremony.


On behalf of the Party and administrative leaders, Rao began by extending festival greetings to the faculty. JNU attachesgreat importance to improving the overall quality of its faculty, she said, and physical health paves the way for effective working and learning. The around-the-campus run aims to help faculty members build ideas about health and improve their physical strength, which enhances quality of life and stimulate their creativity and passion in work. Moreover, all faculty members can establish and practice five development concepts: innovation, coordination, green awareness, openness and sharing. In this way, the goal is to create new glories with ambition and fighting spirit to welcome the 110th anniversary, thus contributing to the high-level university project.

The College of Management won first prize, followed by the General Affairs Office, the College of Education, the School of Public Administration and Emergency Management, the College of Science and Engineering, the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Economics, and the College of Chinese Language and Culture. Winning prizes for best organization were the Party Committee, the School of Journalism and Communication, and Assets Management Company Ltd.


The run was also held simultaneously on JNU’s south campus.
